The victory marked the second-straight for Powers, as the driver of the No. 12 Penske Chevrolet previously took the checkered flag at the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Race 2 on June 5.
A caution on lap 39 at Road America prompted by Conor Daly hitting the wall after a left-rear suspension problem set up a six-lap sprint at the end of the race. Power got a solid restart to maintain his position in the lead.
Graham Rahal grabbed the last spot on the podium with his third-place finish.

It was IndyCar’s first race at the four-mile road course in Wisconsin after a nine-year absence, and by all accounts, it was a huge success.
“I loved it,” Kanaan said in his post-race interview. “I want to come back next week and do it again here, We need more events like this … places that (people) can camp and bring their families. These are the races that we need.”
