More news on the Update
WhatsApp will also not run on models from HTC, Apple, Huawei, LG, Lenovo, and Sony. Earlier in October this year, iPhones that ran on iOS 11 or older platforms, stopped supporting Whatsapp. WhatsApp announced on the website to upgrade to iOS 12 or a new version for running Whatsapp.
For Android phones, Android 4.1 or a more latest version must be used for supporting the messaging software.
iPhone 5 and 5c are the iPhone models to get affected with this latest update, as per reports from Mashable India. Whatsapp commented, “To keep up with the latest advances in tech, we routinely stop supporting older operating systems to point our resources to supporting the latest ones.”
On cards for Whatsapp is also a latest feature that will enable users with ability for reporting status update on the desktop. Currently, this is available on the Beta version only.
If users see any suspicious status update that might violate the Terms of Service, they will be able to report it to the moderation team with the new option.
