How many rounds are there at Wimbledon?
The final is the seventh round for players who start in the main singles draw at Wimbledon on June 27.
Some players in the draw will have already played rounds during the qualifying competition for lower-ranked participants, which began a week before the main tournament.
Emma Raducanu had played three qualifying matches before her remarkable campaign in the main draw resulted in the British prodigy winning the US Open in 2021.
Raducanu became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam in the modern era, and it would be a sensational story if any player repeated her gruelling run at Wimbledon.
