Marv Says Yesss!
Chances are he won’t be cutting his rug, but Marv Albert has a lot to celebrate. Less than two years after Albert set off the second biggest biting incident in sports history, the toupee-topped commentator is headed back to the NBC booth this fall. He has more than his court-mandated counseling to thank for getting past the sex scandal. Faced with record-low ratings during the NBA finals and rumors that Albert, 55, might join Fox, NBC decided it needs his famous bark despite the infamous bite.
The Bare Facts
For a woman with “huge body issues,” Michelle Williams sure shows a lot of skin. The bad girl of “Dawson’s Creek” turns up half-dressed on two magazine covers: Paper and the mammary-minded Maxim. She’s also spent two months off-Broadway in “Killer Joe,” where she stripped in front of 200 strangers nightly. Williams, 18, says she hates feeling like “a piece of meat.” “I’ve sworn off beauty magazines because they only make me feel ugly and depressed,” she says. Perhaps she should stop swearing off clothes.
Douglas’s Dating Game
Hollywood’s no. 1 serial lover–a.k.a. Michael Douglas–has struck again. His latest conquest: actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who’s been seen cavorting with the jowly lothario from Majorca to Edinburgh. “I can’t deny that Michael and I share a very special friendship,” says Zeta-Jones. Douglas has had “special” friendships with a string of women and has been linked with ABC’s Elizabeth Vargas, The New York Times’s Maureen Dowd and former White House aide Lisa Caputo. At least he’s consistent. Like many Douglas paramours, Zeta-Jones is young enough to be his daughter. He’s 54. She’s 29. On second thought, maybe she’s too mature for him.
